The Sonar-BERO® is a solid state proximity switch containing no parts subject to mechanical wear.
It emits ultrasonic pulses and converts the echo refelcted by an object into an electric signal.
Such objects may be in solid, liquid, granular or powder form.
They may also be transparent, and or any shape or colour, with polished or matt surfaces.
The objects must, however, be capable of adequately reflecting ultrasonic pulses.
Features of the Sonar-BERO:

Sensing of small objects at relatively long distances.
Selective object sensing made possible by adjustable operating ranges.
Selective blanking-out of background.
Simple handling.
No maintenance.

All sensors conform to Degree of Protection IP 65.

Compact range 0

The compact range 0 is an advantageous addition to the existing compact ranges I, II and III.
The range 0 is designed to be suited to "standard applications".
These Sonar-BERO are also autonomous units, ready for connection.
Compact range 0 provides the following features:

Designed for operation with DC voltage.
Operating state indicated via LED.
Ouput suitable for driving all conventional programmable controllers.
Upper limit of operating range can be adjustable via a potentiometer.
Sensor and signal evaluator are integrated in a cubic housing.

Advantages of the compact range 0:

Synchronization of up to six sensors on a common line, without the additional control devices.
The fourth connection can also be used as an enable input.
