programmable controller - PROSEC T2
Features
Two types of programming languages
To reduce your program development time,
the T2 supports both sequential-function chart (SFC) and ladder-logic programming.
Multitask processing
The T2's powerful CPU enables multitask
processing (interleaved execution) of the user's interrupt programs along with
the main program. This feature allows concurrent execution of the interrupt programs
- with no apparent delay in the main program's scan time.
Advanced instruction set
T2 PLC's offer basic relay-ladder instructions
and 175 special function-block instructions, including the following:
- Arithmetic operations
- PID/ramp/integral
- Indirect addressing
- Date manipulation
- Subroutine calls
- Trigonometric functions
- For-Next loops
Flexible configuration
T2 units are available in three rack
sizes with four, six or eight slots for mounting I/O modules. Expansion-units
for the T2 are available in four- or s-slot racks, with each rack holding six
or eight modules, respectively. Up to three expansion racks can be connected to
each T2 basic unit, offering a maximum of 32 slots for I/O modules.
Networking
Toshiba T2 PLC's can be connected to
TOSLINE-S20, TOSLINE-F10 and TOSLINE-30 data-link systems, and are equipped with
a computer-link function. This networking capability enables T2 units to be linked
with:
- higher-level computers
- remote I/O units
- other T2 or EX Series PLC's

Communication interface
The communication interface module
(CF211) has 1 port of RS-232C interface. User defined ASCII message can be transmitted/received
through this port. Computer, printer, bar-code reader, or other serial ASCII devices
can be connected to the T2 by using this module.
